A clear, legible photocopy of the biographical data page of your valid passport.

Required only for applicants currently residing in Korea. Must be valid at the time of application.

Must be submitted in Korean or English translation. For nationals from the 21 countries designated by the Ministry of Justice (China, Philippines, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Mongolia, Thailand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Iran, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, Peru): (a) Academic documents authenticated with an Apostille, or (b) Documents certified by the Korean consulate in the country where the applicant's school is based. All submitted documents must be issued within three (3) months prior to the application deadline.

Should include all family members (e.g., birth certificate, family registry, etc.).

Academic degree verification report must be obtained from www.cdgdc.edu.cn or www.chsi.com.cn. Must be in Korean or English with a translation certificate. Must list the entire family, be up to date, and include company name, job title, and employment period.

Required for English-track programs. Minimum scores: IELTS 5.5 or above, or TOEFL iBT 71 or above. Score report must be official and issued within 2 years.

Must show a minimum balance of about USD 12,000. Domestic residents: Balance certificate plus remittance confirmation. Vietnamese applicants: Must include a 1-year fixed deposit certificate (translated and notarized). The bank certificate must be issued within 3 months of application.

Recent passport-sized photographs (3.5 x 4.5 cm), white background, taken within the last 6 months.

Applicants who already hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree must verify it — e.g. an Academic Degree Verification Report, WES evaluation, or apostille/consular authentication of the degree certificate. (High-school applicants do not have a prior degree, so this does not apply to them.)

Official birth certificate, with an English translation if it is not in English. Commonly requested for applicants entering an undergraduate program straight from high school.

A financial sponsorship letter from a parent or guardian, plus a copy of their national ID or passport. High-school applicants are usually sponsored by a parent/guardian, so proof of the sponsor's identity and support is required.

Available at the Korean embassy or consulate in your country, or downloadable from www.visa.go.kr. Must be completed in full and signed by the applicant.

White background, taken within the last 6 months, size 3.5 x 4.5 cm. Photos must meet Korean visa photo standards — no glasses, clear face visible.

Must have a minimum of 6 months validity beyond your intended stay in Korea, and at least one blank visa page. Copies of all used pages may also be required.

Official admission letter from your Korean university confirming your enrollment. Must include program name, duration, and start date.

Highest level of education completed. Must be issued in Korean or English, or accompanied by a certified translation.

Complete academic record from your most recent institution. Must be issued in Korean or English or include a certified translation. Must bear the official school seal.

Minimum balance of about USD 12,000 required. Must be issued by a recognized bank within 3 months of application and bear the bank's official stamp. For D-4 (Language Training) visa: a minimum of about USD 6,000 may apply at some consulates.

Proof of tuition payment to the Korean university. If not yet paid, the Certificate of Admission alone may suffice at some consulates.

Applicants from China, Philippines, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Mongolia, Thailand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Iran, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, and Peru must submit academic documents that have been: (a) Authenticated with an Apostille, or (b) Certified by the Korean consulate in the country where the applicant's school is based. This applies to graduation certificates and transcripts submitted with the visa application.

Required by some Korean consulates. Certificate from a licensed physician confirming the applicant is free from tuberculosis or other notifiable diseases. Check with your local Korean embassy for specific requirements.

Proof of health insurance coverage valid in Korea, or a declaration of intention to enroll in the National Health Insurance program upon arrival. International students are automatically enrolled after 6 months of stay.

Payable at the Korean embassy or consulate at time of application. Fee varies by nationality and country: Single entry (D-2): approx. USD 40-60 Multiple entry (D-2): approx. USD 70-90 Fees may be non-refundable regardless of visa outcome. Check the current fee schedule at your local Korean embassy website.
