About Anyang University

Overview

Anyang University (안양대학교) is a private Christian university founded in 1948 in Anyang-si, Gyeonggi Province — within Seoul's southern metro area. For international students, it offers two flagship programs through its International College: K-Contents and Business (Korean Track) and Global Business Administration (English Track), each designed for complete accessibility to overseas students.

Why choose Anyang University?

Anyang University offers a clear, straightforward pathway for international students — two focused programs, two language tracks, competitive tuition, and both Spring and Fall intake options. The English Track Global Business Administration requires no Korean, making it immediately accessible to students without prior Korean language experience.

Campus & facilities

The main campus at 22 Samdeok-ro 37beon-gil, Manan-gu, Anyang-si features modern lecture halls, a business school building, K-contents creative studios, a library, student dormitories, sports facilities, and a student support center. A second campus on Ganghwa Island is used for specialized programs.

Student life

Anyang-si is 30–40 minutes from central Seoul via subway (Lines 1 and 4), giving students full access to the capital while living in a safer and more affordable city. Campus life includes international student events, K-culture experiences, and a strong Christian community with welcoming cultural programs.

Studying in South Korea — what to know

Cost of living

Monthly living expenses typically range ₩500,000–₩1,000,000 for food, transport and essentials. Dormitories are around ₩200,000–₩400,000/month, and provincial cities cost less than Seoul.

Language

Many programmes are taught in English; most universities offer Korean courses. Basic Korean (TOPIK 1–2) is needed for some programmes. We provide language training and TOPIK prep.

Student visa (D-2)

International students study on a D-2 visa. We guide you through the entire visa process. It allows part-time work up to 20 hours/week in term and full-time during vacations.

Healthcare

Korea has world-class healthcare. Students join the National Health Insurance (NHIS) — roughly ₩60,000–₩80,000/month — covering most medical costs.
